A boy elementary school (SD) at Killarney Elementary School, Florida, found a dead worm in the lunch menu and incident is quite horrendous.
As reported by UPI, local media, and has made the investigation further, apparently some other living worms are found also in the supply of rice in the school cafeteria.
Caterpillar found in this kind of mealworms and non-toxic. Nevertheless, it makes a lot of parents worry about what is consumed by their children at school.
After this incident, the school was argued. Kelly Steinke sent a letter home to parents about the incident that occurred. According to Steinke, rice sent to the new school brought in from distributors and the existing caterpillar.
"The seller has to be informed immediately, and as a precaution, we've rice producers warn that similar events do not occur," explains Kelly Steinke, as reported by The daily meal, Sunday (13/12/2015).
"The health and safety of our students are paramount and reputation of our division award-winning food services are very guarded. The authorities will investigate this issue until we give the necessary answers," he concluded.
